A unique experience among the volcanic trails of Piedmont
Friday, June 27, 2025, get ready to experience something out of the ordinary: the legendary Rive Rosse transforms into a nighttime stage for mountain bike enthusiasts. In collaboration with Vercelli Outdoor, a night excursion comes to life among the most iconic trails of northeastern Piedmont, immersed in the spectacular scenery of the Valsesia Supervolcano.
When night falls, nature comes alive
As the sun sets, the landscape transforms. The red rocks are tinged with the last light of sunset, while shadows stretch across the ravines. Thus begins an adventure of silence, adrenaline, and dreamlike landscapes. The Rive Rosse single tracks become even more captivating: tight curves, jumps, and technical sections will accompany you on an exciting route, guided only by the light of your headlamps and the strength of your legs.
Route, level, and required equipment
The meeting point is scheduled for 8:00 PM at Curino, San Martino locality (BI), in the parking lot of the Inversione restaurant. The route covers approximately 20 km, with 500 meters of elevation gain, and has an estimated duration of 2 hours. The technical difficulty is medium: experience and mastery of the bike are therefore required, especially if using a non-electric bike. For those riding an E-MTB, the effort will be less, but good overall fitness remains essential.
A helmet and front and rear lights are mandatory to participate. Front lights must be powerful enough to properly illuminate the trail; mini visibility LEDs are not permitted. You must arrive at the excursion with appropriate equipment, water, clothing suitable for the season, and an emergency kit.
What the excursion includes
The experience includes accompaniment by an Environmental Hiking Guide, a Cycling Tour Leader recognized by the Piedmont Region, and an FCI Instructor. Liability insurance and technical support throughout the entire route are also included.
Accident insurance is not included, but optional daily coverage can be activated at a cost of 4 euros per person through the website assicurazioneescursionismo.it.
